Craig H. Wendland is a Senior Associate in the Civil Business Litigation and Transaction Practice in The Frost Firm’s Downtown San Diego Office. Mr. Wendland has dedicated his practice to the representation of a broad range of clients in the fields of telecommunications, medicine, software, the life sciences and high technology in a variety of Business Transaction, Litigation and Intellectual Property matters. Mr. Wendland's primary practice focuses on complex civil litigations, licensing and commercial disputes involving biotechnology, the high sciences and other emerging technologies. Mr. Wendland’s experience also extends to complex securities transactions and litigation, derivative actions and arbitrations.
Mr. Wendland graduated with honors from the University of California at Berkeley, California with a B.A. degree in Molecular and Cell Biology, emphasizing in Genetics and minoring in Rhetoric. Mr. Wendland then moved to the nation’s biotechnology hub in San Diego, California, where he worked for almost a decade in research, production and management at one of the world’s largest biotechnology firms.
Mr. Wendland attended the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, California, where he excelled academically and obtained his Juris Doctor in 2007. While attending law school, Mr. Wendland was awarded several honors, including the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Criminal Punishment, 2007, and Mediation, 2007, as well as multiple Witkin Legal Institute Awards for Academic Excellence. After graduation, Mr. Wendland was offered a position at one of Am Law’s Top 100 rated law firms, where he received his practical law experience prior to joining The Frost Firm.
Mr. Wendland remains a conscientious San Diego citizen, and has dedicated a great deal of time and effort giving back to his community. Mr. Wendland received the Wiley M. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Legal Services for his work in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Mr. Wendland was also recognized by the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program and honored with their Distinguished Service Award in both 2011 and 2012. Mr. Wendland is pleased to be The Frost Firm’s Pro Bono Coordinator and Chair.
